The training, an initiative of the Deputy Minister who is also the Member of Parliament for Juaben Constituency, aimed at equipping the youth with valuable skills in the rapidly evolving digital landscape, to enable them to meet the demand of the fourth industrial revolution.

The training saw participants engage in an intensive and hands-on learning experience and covered key aspects of web development and the Internet of Things (IoT), providing the students with a solid foundation in these crucial technological domains.

To ensure the continuity of their exploration, the Minister also donated smart watches and phones to the participants.

Additionally, she donated STEM Kits to the ICT centre to foster continuous practice and create opportunities for more children to benefit from similar training.

Ms Boateng also announced plans to provide training for ICT teachers in the Constituency to equip them with the requisite skills to effectively deliver on their mandate.

“In collaboration with the Juaben Municipal Education Directorate, I am excited to announce the upcoming Trainer of Trainer programme for ICT teachers. This initiative ensures the continuous training of communities in Juaben, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in robotics education,” she indicated.

Through her educational Tech Club, the “Pomaa Tech Club,” the Minister donated one thousand Ghana Cedis to the ICT Centres to help with operational activities, as part of effort to sustain the momentum and enthusiasm for technology in the Constituency.

She expressed gratitude to all partners and stakeholders who supported the initiative, including the trainers who played a crucial role in imparting knowledge and skills to the participants.

Mr Omane Aboagye, Municipal Chief Executive for the area, commended the Deputy Minister for the “thoughtful initiative,” emphasising the positive impact such programmes had on community development.
