The call was made by student leaders and house representatives, who expressed pride in the school’s legacy and achievements.
The Anniversary is on the theme: Celebrating 60 Years, “The Role of Stakeholders in Providing Quality Education for the 21st Century.”
They appealed to all members of the Anfoega Senior High School Old Students Association (ANFOSA) to return home and celebrate six decades of academic excellence, discipline, and character formation.
Miss Bedu Gloria, a Member of Hodo House, popularly known as “The Royals,” urged residents of the school’s catchment community to actively participate in the celebration, describing the anniversary as a period for unity, reflection, and renewed commitment to the school’s ideals.
Master Tepre Wise Yaw, House Captain of Katty Krampa House, said the week-long celebration would take place on the school campus and would provide an opportunity for past and present students to reconnect, share experiences, and celebrate the school’s achievements.
Miss Genevieve Gator, a Representative of Franklin William House, called on Ghanaians to support the anniversary activities, while Master Harrison Agyeman, House Captain of Dzobo House, appealed for a strong turnout to ensure a memorable celebration.
Established six decades ago, Anfoega SHS has played a significant role in national development, producing graduates who have contributed to Ghana’s growth in education, public service, health, security, business, and other critical sectors.
The school has also promoted leadership, patriotism, and community service, with many alumni providing mentorship, scholarships, and infrastructural support to uplift both the school and the surrounding communities in the Volta Region and beyond.
