Tema-Ghana, Jan. 1, MNN – Be steadfast, my beloved brethren, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord, Osofo Bernard Asante, Minister in Charge of the Church of Christ Vertical Center Tema Community Six has admonished Christians and Ghanaians.
Preaching the 2022 December 31st Watch Night and Crossover sermon on the theme “His grace is sufficient for us,” Osofo Asante quoted scripture verses from I Corinthians 15:58 and II Corinthians 12:8-9 to encourage the congregation to be steadfast in 2023.
“For this thing, I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me,” Osofo Asante encouraged believers to emulate the Apostle Paul.
He said that upon all the challenges in life, God’s grace would be sufficient in 2023; “Even though 2022 was not the best year due to the economic challenges and COVID-19 the Lord has been with us in all our deeds we, therefore, have to give him all the praise he deserves”.
At midnight, the church auditorium exploded with joyful songs amidst dancing to welcome 2023.
