Mr Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, Member of Parliament of Ho West has commiserated with bereaved families of late Nutifafa Kofi Kristo at Abutia Kloe.
The visit followed the sudden death of Mr Nutifafa Kofi Kristo, who passed away about a week ago after a short illness.
Until his untimely demise, the late Mr Kristo served as Branch Chairman of the Government Clinic Branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Abutia Kloe.
The visit, in line with local tradition, was to console the bereaved families and to gather firsthand information on the circumstances surrounding his sudden death.
Mr Bedzrah and his entourage first visited the paternal home of the late comrade at Abutia Kloe, where family elders received them with shock and sorrow.
The elders expressed disbelief at the loss, describing the late Kristo as an active party loyalist and a committed community member.
The delegation later proceeded to Ho to meet the deceased’s mother, a resident of Ashanti Kpoeta and a constituent of Ho West.
Overcome with grief, the mother said, “The death of my son has brought me to my lowest point, but I pray God gives me strength.”
Mr Bedzrah told the family that he had earlier visited the Hospital upon hearing of Kristo’s condition. “I was hoping to return this week, only to receive the painful news,” he said.
He prayed with the family, assured them of his support, and presented 20 packs of bottled water to assist in receiving mourners during the period.
The Ho West MP reiterated his commitment to support the families to accord the late Nutifafa Kofi Kristo a peaceful burial.
