The Berekum Holy Family Hospital in the Bono Region welcomed 17 New-borns in the festive season, Madam Cynthia Yeboah, the Midwife in-charge of the Maternity Ward of the hospital, has said.
She said the 10 boys and seven girls were born between Christmas Day December 25 and December 28.
She said the babies and their mothers between 14 and 42 years were all in stable condition.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Berekum, Madam Yeboah urged pregnant women to attend ante-natal clinics regularly and avoid self-medication.
She also expressed concern about the growing trend of teenage pregnancy in the municipality and advised girls who could not control their sexual desires to avoid unprotected sex.
Madam Yeboah said the hospital was determined to provide quality healthcare services to clients and advised the people to attend hospital whenever they fell sick.
