Apostle Sylvester Arhin, Takoradi Area Head of the Church of Pentecost, has urged Christians to remain steadfast in the face of challenges and to rely on God’s promises and blessings.
Speaking at the climax of the Christmas Convention at the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) in Takoradi, Apostle Arhin drew parallels between the experiences of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, and those of believers today.
Quoting Luke 1:26-30, he noted that Mary’s life was marked by ridicule, poverty, and hardship, even though she was blessed and highly favoured by God.
He stressed that Christians may also encounter difficult times but should not lose hope.
“Our confessions should reflect God’s promises and assurances. We may not understand what we are going through today, but God’s blessings and favour are with us,” he said.
Apostle Arhin encouraged believers to persevere, assuring them that Jesus would appear in His glory to comfort and wipe away every tear.
The convention, held under the theme: “Do not be Afraid, Mary; you have found favour with God” (Luke 1:30), underscored the importance of trusting God’s goodness amidst life’s challenges.
