On November 18, 2025, the Police Intelligence Directorate Headquarters in Accra intercepted CCTV footage that showed Asiedu smashing the driver’s side door glass of a black Toyota Highlander, with registration number GN 5666-23, and stealing items from the vehicle.
The Police traced Wu, who confirmed the incident.

In his caution statement, Agroh mentioned Asiedu as the person who sold the phone to him for GH¢2,300, although he knew its market value was GH¢18,000.
Further investigations led to the arrest of Asiedu, who admitted selling the phone to Agroh.
The Police said the two conspired to break into the complainant’s vehicle and steal the items.
Investigations also disclosed that Asiedu, upon learning that he was being sought by the Police, gave GH¢30,000 to one Allotey to hand over to the Police as part of the stolen money.
