The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has scheduled a repatriation plan for foreign nationals arrested in in their involvement in illegal QNET operations.
“The Ghana Immigration Service wishes to inform the public that eight foreign nationals who were arrested in August 2025 for engaging in illegal QNET-related activities and subsequently convicted on 9th September 2025, have completed their custodial sentences”.
The GIS mentioned the ex-convicts as: ALABE SANGA – BURKINABE, MAFO CLAREISSE – CAMEROONIAN, SYLVIE AMATALA – TOGOLESE, MOHAMMED JAZAW – BURKINABE, MODESTO FORGANE – CAMEROONIAN, SOULEMANE BIIBAL – BURKINABE, DOUBO PRINCE – TOGOLESE, BEN KAZE – TOGOLESE
A statement issued by Maud Anima Quainoo, Deputy Commissioner of Immigration and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said after serving six-month sentences at Nsawam Prisons, the individuals had been transferred to the Immigration Service Holding Centre in Accra.
“They remain in lawful custody pending repatriation to their home countries.
“The process has begun, with most already returned; the remaining three Burkinabé nationals are scheduled for deportation by the end of the week”.
The statement commended the public for their continuous support and urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities of any foreigner in their communities to the law enforcement agencies.
“The Service particularly urges landlords and property owners to exercise due diligence when renting out their properties to foreign nationals since harbouring illegal immigrants is an offence under section 52(1)(b) of the Immigration Act 2000 Act 573”.
The statement said the Comptroller General of Immigration and Management of the Service remained committed to protecting the territorial integrity of the country and ensuring compliance with Immigration Laws at all times.
