Gospel musician Gifty Adorye, also known as Empress Gifty, has filed a GHC20 million defamation suit against Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, a fetish priestess turned evangelist.
Adorye is seeking GHC20 million in damages for libel and slander.
She is also requesting a perpetual injunction from the Tema High Court to restrain Agradaa, her servants, agents, privies, and assigns from publishing “such words or any of them or similar words to that effect.”
The plaintiff further seeks an order directing the defendant to remove all videos and audios containing the alleged defamatory statements from her social media platforms.
In response, Agradaa stated in a Facebook post that the plaintiff could take the case to court as many times as she wished, insisting that the court was accessible to everyone.
