The Living Yahweh 7Th Day Sabbath Assemblies has held its Annual Passover and Charity Show 2025 with a call on the government to revive the State Farms for food sufficiency, to support the citizenry.

The five-day event was on the theme, “But as for you, you meant evil against me,” but Elohim Yahweh intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives, (Genesis 50:20).”

The church presented assorted items to over 5,000 disadvantaged persons including the blind, cripples, and others suffering from various devastating sicknesses.

The beneficiaries received items such as bags of rice, bags of maize, African wax prints, several wheelchairs and white canes, boxes of soap, tubers of yams, boxes of beverages, and toiletries.

The rest were institutions like orphanages, hospitals, and the security agencies.

The total cost of the items amounted to GHS 1.2 million, with undisclosed cash donation

Apostle Dr Okoh Agyemang, the Founder and Leader of the church who made the call at the programme held at the Odorgonno Senior High School at Awoshie in Accra said he had unsuccessfuly made appeals for the reviving of the State Farms to past governments.

He said, “Please, President John Dramani Mahama this is your time, consider my proposal and compel the Minister of Agriculture to bring back the State Farms to increase food production and make it affordable to the ordinary, especially the less privileged.”

Apostle Dr Okoh Agyemang stated that the country was blessed with arable lands and could be used for farming and that it was time the government injected adequate investment into such venture.

He called for the reviewing of the incarceration laws on minor offences so that persons convicted of such offences were made to work in the farms as they served their prison terms for the benefit of the country.

He implored churches and schools to get involved in agriculture activities while chiefs should willingly offer lands for farming, which he said would go a long way in food sustainability.

Apostle Dr Okoh Agyemang advised the recipients of the items to endeavour to attend church and involve themselves in apprenticeships to get some skills, for a long-term livelihood rather than begging along the streets.

Professor Ohene Agyekum of the University of Ghana, who was the guest of honour for the occasion urged churches to emulate the example of the Living Yahweh 7Th Day Sabbah Assemblies to venture into activities that would benefit their members and the entire society

Pastor Francis Aidoo of the church in a welcoming address said the Annual Passover and Charity Show was out doored in 2003 to distribute gifts to the disadvantaged persons in society.

“Aside this benevolent act, the church also honour individuals who have made significant contributions to national development,” he stated.
