The Ladies Association of Ghana Water Limited (GWL), Tema Region, has donated assorted items to the Missionaries of Charity Home at Ashaiman as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility activities.
The items included cash, toilet rolls, biscuits, assorted drinks, rice, sanitary pads, detergents, bottled water, and sachet water, among others.

The donation, made on Friday, was aimed at supporting children and caregivers at the home and reaffirming the association’s commitment to caring for vulnerable members of society.
Mrs Randy Naa Asheley Martey, Chairperson of the GWL Tema Ladies, presenting the items on behalf of the association and management of GWL, said the gesture symbolised a shared responsibility to uplift the less privileged in the community.
She said the donated items went beyond material support, expressing the association’s hope that they would bring comfort, encouragement, and a sense of belonging to the children at the home.
Mrs Martey commended the caregivers and staff of the Missionaries of Charity for their dedication, noting that their daily commitment to providing love, guidance, and stability to the children was inspiring.

She said the association looked forward to sustaining the relationship and strengthening its support to contribute towards a brighter and more hopeful future for the children.
Receiving the items, the sisters of the Missionaries of Charity, founded by Mother Teresa, expressed gratitude to the GWL Tema Ladies for the kind gesture and support.
The GWL ladies later spent time interacting with the children and also engaged with a new mother at the home who had recently given birth to quadruplets.
