“We urge you as workers to rededicate and redirect your efforts towards the development of the country, especially in the areas of employment, health, education, social benefits, and infrastructure by the government,” he said.
Mr Ayawine said this in his Christmas message to ICU-Ghana members: lessons learnt and experiences gained in 2024 should guide the workers to launch into 2025 with greater commitment.
“You need to leverage the wind of change blowing in the country, to step up your efforts at productivity within your respective workplaces, and to help the government effort towards resuscitating the ailing economy,” he said.
He urged employers to offer optimum conditions of service for workers within their organisations.
“We wish to reassure the government as a Union, of our continued and unstinting collaboration for increased productivity and profitability of your businesses,” he said.
He hailed all workers for their continuous service to the country and wished them a Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.
