The intervention of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr Safo Nketia, has brought relief to the residents who were facing a severe water crisis.
The MCE said the project was his civic social responsibility, and he optimistic that it would bring great relief to the people.
The restoration of the borehole is a significant development for the community, where access to clean water is a major concern.
Residents in the community are thrilled with the MCE’s efforts, saying it is a long-awaited solution to their water woes.
The restored borehole is expected to improve living conditions and support economic activities in Kpelema, and the community is hopeful that this gesture would be the start of more development Projects.
The Assembly member for the area, Mr Dawuda Malawoe, has expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Krachi East Municipal Assembly, led by MCE for restoring the long-abandoned borehole in the community.
“This has been a decades-long challenge for my people, especially the women, who had to trek long distances in search of water, we are grateful to the MCE and the Assembly for hearing our crisis and acted,” Mr Malawoe added.
