The exercise, held at Sefwi Asawinso “A”, saw residents desilting chocked gutters and clearing weeds around their surroundings.
Addressing the residents after the exercise, the MCE said the Assembly was determined to ensure a clean and safe environment for all.
Mr Obeng appealed to the residents to show interest and take active part in such clean-up exercises, which he said would be held monthly.
“The municipality is well-positioned as a major traveling destination in the Western North Region so we must keep everywhere clean to make it attractive to investors and tourists,” he said
The MCE urged the residents to desist from dumping refuse on the streets and endeavour to make the municipality one of the cleanest in the region and the country.
Mr Frank Nelson, the Assembly Member for the area, pledged to work hard to sustain the clean-up campaign in the area.
