Africa has had some great leaders in the past whose legacies were relentless, and Ghanaian artiste Onyansapow Bowaanopow seeks to honour them in a new song titled “Great Sons of Africa”.

This highly anticipated track, which would be released in the coming days, follows the success of his previous single, “Contentment,” which gained significant attention for its deep message.

According to the musician, the upcoming single will pay tribute to three monumental figures in African history, including Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana, Nelson Mandela of South Africa, and Jomo Kenyatta of Kenya.

Onyansapow Bowaanopow stated that these great personalities played an instrumental role in the fight against colonialism and liberation of their nations.

The musician believes that history’s most significant contributors should be celebrated, as their efforts were not the result of passivity but of bold and decisive action.

Through this song, he aims to honour the legacies of these three great African leaders while also encouraging listeners to appreciate the richness of African history and culture.

He sees this celebration of African heroes as essential to understanding the continent’s past and promoting its cultural identity.

The song’s official music video is set to premiere on YouTube on September 15, 2024, strategically chosen to coincide with the upcoming birthday celebration of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s founding father, on September 21.

Listeners and fans are encouraged to subscribe to Onyansapow Bowaanopow’s YouTube channel to catch the release of the “Great Sons of Africa” music video.
