Nkwanta (O/R)-Ghana Dec. 29, GNA – Mr Bright K Lenwah, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Nkwanta South Municipality, has presented food items to patients at the St Joseph Hospital and the Nkwanta South Municipal Hospital as part of the 2022 Christmas festivities.
The beneficiaries were those at the health facilities, children and labour wards.
Mr Lenwah reminded the patients about the essence of the Christmas celebration, which is an occasion for showing love, sacrifice and merrymaking.
He urged individuals, groups and corporate entities to go to the aid of the less privileged in society.
Mr Lenwah noted that supporting the less privileged would help put smiles on their faces and enable them to have a feel of Christ’s birth through Christmas while showing them their importance in society.
The patients were full of praise and expressed gratitude to the MCE for the support.
Rev Sister Georgina Quayson, Administrator, St Joseph Hospital, commended the MCE for his kind gesture, adding that it was the first of its kind.
Mr Lenwah was accompanied by the Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Mr Larry Yaw and some Assembly members.
