The Bono East Regional Police command has arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of the queen-mother of Abamba, near Amantin in the Region.
The suspects are Muftawu Adamu, 28, Rafiu Haruna, 28, and Michael Owusu Sperni, 29 years.
According to the statement issued and signed by the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Appiah Danquah, the Public Relations Officer of the Bono East Regional police administration, they were arrested through an intelligence led operation.
A copy of the statement made available to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani explained that on February 25, 2026, the late Nana Serwaa Asamaa Kuma Gyan, the queen-mother was shot at her residence at the Methodist church area at Atebubu.
It said the suspects were presently at the police custody assisting investigations, while the police upped efforts to bring perpetrators involved in the crime to justice.
