The Chief Executive officer of Myliberty News Network, Rev. Dr Elizabeth Ogoe Jones, has charged religious leaders to take advantage of multi-media platform to improve preaching to their congregation.

For her “the old method of preaching and reaching out to lost souls should be coordinated through the new movement of multi-media to accelerate the mission of The Great Commission and ensure that the message of hope and salvation spread across the world.

“Indeed the global community has become one big village through the Information, Communication, and Technological medium. The field for evangelism has become bigger yet closer to reach with one message,” she stated.

Rev. Dr Jones stated during the launch of a multi-purpose-media-platform Myliberty News Network – www.mylibertynews.com yesterday in Accra.

Myliberty News Network is a multimedia platform in fulfilment of the mandate to feed the flock through the word and offer nourishment to those seeking knowledge.

Rev. Dr Jones who also doubles as a missionary and an evangelist therefore called on fellow colleagues to use social media to win more souls for Christ.

“Use the power of the media to preach, educate, engage, entertain, inspire and inform to liberate the souls of all in every area of their lives,” Rev. Dr Jones stated.

She said the network as a religious-multi-media network, has a major spur for growth particularly in the gospel, advertising, projecting the creative arts, and the entertainment industries.

Mr Francis Ameyibor, Ghana News Agency Tema Regional Manager who launched MylibertyNews Network noted that the youth today have smart appliances and phones.

“They have laptops, iPhones, tablets, and about a million other gadgets, how can religious leaders and other leaders including parents keep pace with the youth who are on the supersonic highway”

“In order to reach out to the youth and younger adults, some churches have gone out of their way to maintain relevance in this fast-paced tech culture that we live in with the injection of modern technology into ministry work and Sunday Church services, Mr Ameyibor noted.

Mr Ameyibor noted that through the medium of technology the world was changing at a rapid pace, and daily social media matters and multi-media technology dominate our life.

He said the church must recognise the relevance of electronic media, and make it an integral part of every worship opportunity by providing audio and visual duplications of the Gospel message to all that desire.

Mr Ameyibor urged the church to reach beyond the physical walls of the local assembly and affect the lives of others by spreading the word of God.
