Ghanaian music star Sarkodie has thanked event organisers, including Bizzle Entertainment and Kilimanjaro Live, after his flagship Rapperholic concert filled the 5,000capacity Royal Albert Hall in London.

The performance marked one of Sarkodie’s biggest international shows, drawing fans from across the UK and Europe.

The awardwinning rapper said the soldout event reflected the collective effort of individuals and organisations that supported the production.

In a social media post, Sarkodie praised Mr Berny Sarfo, Chief Executive of Bizzle Entertainment, for his involvement in creating what he described as a landmark moment for his brand and Ghanaian music.

The rapper also signalled ambitions for a larger stage next year, announcing plans to take Rapperholic to London’s 20,000capacity O2 Arena, a venue reserved for major global acts.

Speaking after the show, Mr Sarfo described the ‘Rapperholic’ concert at the Royal Albert Hall as “historic for Ghana”, adding that Sarkodie has the momentum and fan base to fill the O2.

“This was the biggest concert held by any Ghanaian act in recent years in the UK, and I hope Sarkodie can build on it next year by hosting the concert at the O2 Arena.

“We at Bizzle Entertainment are willing to make his dream come true, and we have already started planning for the mega event next year,” Mr Sarfo said.

Sarkodie launched the Rapperholic franchise in 2012, and the annual event has grown into a prominent platform for Ghanaian hip-hop and Afrobeats.
