Two others have been admitted at the male and female wards of the hospital while a few have been discharged.
The Central Regional Commander of the Ghana National Fire service, ACFO1 John Amarlai Amartey, confirmed the development when he paid a visit to the victims at the hospital.
He was also at the scene of the accident earlier to ascertain the gravity of the incident and expressed his satisfaction with the rapt attention the hospital had given to victims and commended the management and the personnel.
He also praised the Fire Service rescue team for their professional conduct during the incident.
He was excited about the strong collaboration between the Service and the hospital in their line of duty to save lives in the Region.
The Commander used the opportunity to implore motorists using the
Takoradi-Accra highway to desist from traffic infractions to avoid such accidents.
ACFO1 Amartey cautioned drivers on the stretch to expect significant traffic as the Oguaa Fetu Afahye approaches.
