Dr Anita Owusu-Afriyie, an Oncologist at the International Maritime Hospital (IMaH) in Tema has cautioned women against the abuse of emergency contraceptives as they can cause cancers in the future.

A health screening conducted on 1000 women by the Holy Child Family Hospital in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis revealed that 30 per cent has precancerous lesions.
