Mr. Francis Ganyaglo, Chairman, Volta Region Election Committee, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview.

He said there are three Candidates contesting for Youth Organiser post while four are vying for deputy Youth Organiser position.

Women Organiser post had two contestants with four deputy women Organiser candidates.

Mr. Mathias Alagbo, the incumbent Youth Organiser is battling it with Mr. Angelo Norkplim Agbodzie and Dziewornu Boli for the post while the Deputy Youth Organiser post is contest by Mr. Kwame Asiemoah Jnr., the incumbent, Alex Doe Wuadi, Johnson K. Samlafo and Alex Biney.

The Women Organiser post is a straight contest between the incumbent, Madam Delphia Fafa Agbai and Madam Akusika M. Kpene.

Madam Mariam Akua J. Adzroe, Ama Awo Galley, Cynthia Afeafa Woeyor and Fafali Nyonator are contesting for deputy women Organiser post.

Mr Ganyaglo expects the exercise to be peaceful.

Ms. Joycelyn Tetteh, MP for North Dayi, on behalf of Volta Region Caucus asked the delegates to vote for people who would help the NDC party to victory in 2024 elections.

She said the election was internal so there should not be rancour and insults.

Mr. Edem Agbana, the Deputy National Youth Organiser, said the “election begins NDC’s journey back to power in 2024 so they needed to work as a team.”

He said it was a family contest, so there would be no loser or winner.

Mr. Agbana said they needed a united front to win the 2024 election because the NPP although not performing could not give up easily.
