Tema-Ghana, Dec. 17, CDA Consult – The Tema Community 11 Complex Primary A and KG pupils and teachers’ sang gloriously the school’s new anthem composed by Mr. Bernard Asante, who teaches Information and Communication Technology, and History as it was outdoor at Tema.
The anthem sang for the first time at the school’s 2022 graduation ceremony was to empower the teachers to train the children with the power to use their hands to undertake profitable activities, store in the heart of the children the sense of royalty and build in their minds the tenets of discipline.
It was also to build in the children a civic responsibility and inculcate the importance of the hand, hearts, and minds in their academic pursuits and any extracurricular activities.
Mr. Asante stated during the outdooring ceremony and stressed that the motivation to compose the school anthem emanated from the desire to provide a converging symbol to serve as a source of encouragement to unite the children and the teachers.
Mr. Asante who joined the school’s teaching staff five years ago said he observed that the school did not have any anthem, “I was, however, motivation by the inscriptions of school’s crest which has the symbol of the heart, hand, and mind”.
Meanwhile the school authorities decorated Mr. Asante for meritorious service not only as an ICT and History teacher but composing the school’s anthem.
