Accra-Ghana, Dec.21, GNA – Pastor Bayo, Chaplain of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association Ghana (CLOGSAG) has urged Ghanaians to take stock of God’s goodness upon their lives and show appreciation.
“There are a lot of privileges we have claimed this year but the gift of life is not a privilege. We are indebted to God. Thanksgiving is a debt we owe to God in return for all the good things He has done for us,” he said.
He said this on Thursday while delivering a sermon at a Thanksgiving Service organised by the Association in Accra.
He quoted from Psalms 100:3-4 saying, “Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.”
Pastor Bayo, also the Resident Pastor of CLOGSAG Fellowship, said God was always on the look out to receive thanks for whatever He did for His children and to release more blessings on such grateful people.
He said thanksgiving was the key to attracting God’s attention for a triumphant entry into the new year.
“God has earmarked better things for us in 2024 and He wants to ride on our thanksgiving. If we require His help in 2024, the best way to do it is to thank Him. Let us respond to God’s goodness by being expressive. Let your lips be filled with praise and thank Him for His goodness. That is how you attract Him,” he said.
Mr Benjamin Otoo, President, CLOGSAG, thanked God for seeing the members through the turbulent times experienced at the beginning of the year.
He lauded the members on being able to achieve most of their targets and urged them to continue serving the nation to the best of their abilities.
The President wished them a fruitful Christmas and advised them to be measured in their celebrations.
Representatives from the Civil Service and Local Government Service shared goodwill messages and congratulated CLOGSAG leadership for efforts towards improving the conditions of members.
