Bolgatanga-GHana, Nov. 19, GNA – Reverend Father Camillos Baba Ababagre, the Parish Priest at the Saint Cyprian’s Anglican Church in Bolgatanga, has encouraged Christians to remain resolute, hopeful and trust in God to hold on to what truly belongs to them.

In a sermon on the theme: “What belongs to you, nobody can take it away from you” he gave assurance to members of the congregation, saying God had destined every individual with spiritual and material gifts that could not be taken away by anybody once as Christians up their faith in sincerity to the service of God.

He said as Christians and mortal beings everyone was bound to go through some temptations like losing our possession and running through difficulties, but they must not despair.

Instead, “let us remain resolute, hopeful and trust in God to overcome our problems to regain our possession”

He narrated the story of Joseph, the encounter of the Israelites with pharahos in Egypt and later the Israelites conquering Egypt to repossess the land, and to come out of slavery, as clear testimony that with God everything was possible, and nobody could take away what rightly belonged to them.

He conceded that there was no perfection in human beings, but as Christians, and as they remained faithful to Christ, their connection with God, and the relationship thereon, gave them opportunity to thrive and gain unmeasuring favours from God.

The Parish Priest cautioned Christian wives against peddling falsehood about their husbands to think that by so doing they could keep their marriages.

“Don’t go from salon to salon selling your husband, if God says that husband is yours, he will remain yours forever.”

Reverend Ababgre indicated that, Trusting in God was a clear step of overcoming the enemy’s efforts at planning to de-possess you of your right and earnings. “Nobody can take away the progress of your children, business and all your possessions,” he added.

He urged members of the congregation to be steadfast, trust in God and openly declare that what they possessed.
