Mr Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, one of the aspiring presidential candidates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the Election 2028 has promised to prioritise and improve the welfare of party supporters at the grassroot levels.

He said it was unfortunate that the previous NPP governments neglected and did not treat the supporters fairly and asked them to make informed decisions and vote for him when the party goes to polls on January 31, 2026, to elect the Election 2028 presidential candidate.

Mr Agyapong, a former parliamentarian, made the promise when addressing supporters and members of the NPP at Wenchi, as part of his nationwide “Unity Tour,” to the constituency.

He told the ecstatic supporters that with him as the party’s presidential candidate, the NPP could easily win the Election 2028 to enable him to create job opportunities, and to engage the majority of the unemployed party people at the grassroots level.

Mr Kojo Frempong, the 2024 NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Wenchi Constituency, urged the presidential hopefuls and their followers to endeavour to allow the interest of the NPP to supersede their personal political ambitions.

Mr Frempong described the 2026 presidential primary as an internal affair, reminding the aspirants and their followers of the need for them to bury their individual differences, uniting and supporting any of them who might win the elections.

He said the NPP required a more formidable front to win the Election 2028, and urged the delegates, supporters and members of the party to remain united and eschew unhealthy political campaigns that could potentially disintegrate the party and narrowed its electoral fortunes.

Mr Frempong asked those offended to forgive each other’s past offences, forged ahead in unity and concentrated on building a formidable front.
