The Police are making efforts to locate and arrest suspect Osman Majeed for allegedly shooting three people at Barniekrom near Mankranso in the Ashanti Region.
A statement signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs, said the Police had also commenced investigation into the incident.
It said on Tuesday, the Police received information to the effect that the suspect had shot three people claiming they were part of a group that had come to attack him.
The statement said a Police team visited the scene of the incident and conveyed the bodies of the three deceased persons to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
It said exhibits retrieved from the scene included one motorbike, eight spent cartridges and four cutlasses.
The statement urged members of the community to remain calm as investigation into the incident continued to get the perpetrator arrested to face justice.
