The Second lady, Hajia Samira Bawumia, has appealed to Ghanaians to vote for Dr Mahamadu Bawumia who will listen and address their demands to better their living conditions.

Hajia Samira was speaking in Tumu where she paid a courtesy call on the Tumu traditional council as part of campaign to solicit votes for her husband’s bid to become president.

Addressing a gathering of Chiefs and people of Tumu Hajia Samira said the election was about a choice of a caring and listening leader to steer the affairs of the country to benefit all.

She said Sissala East was one of the priority areas of Dr Bawumia if voted into office, the reason he (Bawumia) donated pick-up vehicles to some Senior High Schools.

She said, “I am also here to add to the good works that he has been doing, as a dutiful wife who knows the good thing that is coming to get to you to join me and my husband with prayers for us to succeed together.”

She urged them to Vote for Dr Bawumia and Amidu Chinnia Issahaku, as the parliamentary candidate for the Sissala East to ensure a greater number of MPs for the party.

At the Tumu community centre, over 500 fulbe community and other party supporters were addressed by the second lady where she called for support for Dr Bawumia during the December 7th elections.

She called on the Muslim community not to allow this chance to pass them by in making one of the presidents of Ghana for the first time.

“Today it’s Dr Bawumia’s time, tomorrow could be your turn, so don’t sit on the fence, let’s support him,” she said.

She advised the Fulbe community to look at her and educate their children to become like her since it is the school that has uplifted her image to be where she was today and support her husband to be successful for all of them to be inspired for others to follow.

The leader of the Fulbe community in Tumu, Mr Dicko Abdula Hamid who doubles as the NPP chairman of the Fulbes, said most of the Fulbe who were born in Ghana had been prevented from having the Ghana card and it is a challenge affecting them and appealed to the second lady to resolve it for them.

The fulbe chief of Tumu, Mamudu Alkuri Mahama led a prayer for the second lady and requested for the fulbes to be supported to perform hajj.
