A statement issued in Accra the visit included a guided tour of the KIPP facility, during which the delegation observed the plant operations and received briefings on the project’s contribution to Ghana’s power generation capacity and national energy security.

It said members of the Japanese delegation expressed strong admiration for the scale, technical excellence, and strategic importance of the KIPP project, describing it as a compelling example of sustainable private-sector investment supporting national development.

Mr. Brew-Butler expressed appreciation for Japan’s longstanding partnership with Ghana.

“We are honoured to host this distinguished delegation and to showcase the KIPP project, which reflects our commitment to reliable power generation, operational excellence, and long-term national development,” he said.

The Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs commended Cenpower for its role in strengthening Ghana’s power supply.

The Japanese Ambassador to Ghana noted that Japan remains committed to supporting projects that promote sustainable growth, private-sector participation, and energy resilience across Africa.
