The visit was to formally invite the National Chief Imam to the Bank’s Islamic Thanksgiving Service, check on his well-being, and seek his blessings for the year ahead.

Mr. Kamagate, speaking on behalf of Mr Farihan Alhassan, the Managing Director explained that the Bank was grateful for the prayers and support received in the previous year and was seeking continued prayers as it begins another year of operations.

The delegation also presented a cash donation and assorted drinks as a gesture of goodwill and appreciation, and reaffirmed the Bank’s support, particularly ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.

The National Chief Imam expressed appreciation to GCB Bank for the visit and kind gesture.

He prayed for the Bank’s continued success and called for peace, harmony, and mutual respect among people of different faiths, noting that humanity shares a common origin despite religious differences.

Following the courtesy call, the Managing Director of GCB Bank, Mr. Alhassan, led Executive Management and staff to participate in the Islamic Thanksgiving Service at the Central Mosque, Accra, where prayers were offered for the Bank, its leadership and staff.

The service brought together employees in a moment of reflection, gratitude and unity.

The Bank also held a Christian Thanksgiving Service, during which Executive Management and staff gathered in worship and praise to thank God for the Bank’s growth, resilience, and milestones achieved.

The Service featured an exhortation by Reverend Stephen Wengam, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, and special prayers by the Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church for the leadership, staff, and their families.

The MD expressed gratitude to God for the Bank’s progress and the dedication of its workforce.

He noted that the thanksgiving activities provided an opportunity to reflect on past achievements while looking ahead with optimism and purpose.

He added that GCB Bank was entering 2026 with confidence and a renewed sense of focus, with Management committed to achieving greater milestones through teamwork, innovation, and excellence in service delivery.

Through the interfaith thanksgiving activities, GCB Bank reaffirmed its commitment to humility, unity, and community, while continuing to serve customers and stakeholders with integrity and contributing to Ghana’s socio-economic development.
