He explained that “the reason why we support golf is that we believe that safety is the same as health and health is the same as sport. That’s why Gold Fields support sports.

“We would continue to support sports. So this would not be the last one because we believe that a healthy person, makes a safe person and makes a productive person of human resource.

“And that’s exactly what we believe in as one of our very core values. So we would be here again next year and I would train to participate and give you [golfers] a run for your money.’
Mr. Motorti lauded the organising committee and all golfers who participated in the tournament.

“I want to say thank you and gratitude to the organizing committee because you put in a lot of work to make this happen.

“I had an expectation that this would be a very competitive tournament and when I heard that there’s a tie, I was really excited to know that the two best had to toggle off to get one who eventually tells that this is a tough tournament.

“So, thank you all for participating in it, believing it and making sure that this event is the biggest and the best PGA event in Ghana”, he concluded.
Kojo Barni from Damang Golf Club won the ninth edition of the Gold Fields PGA tournament with a Gross Total Score of 286.
