I. PRECIOUS DAUGHTER OF ZION, how long have you been sitting among them, hours? Days? Weeks? Months? Or years? Why are you still sitting among them? Sitting among them is a waste of time and resources. Sitting among them makes you unproductive and unprofitable. You begin to lose your identity and adopt their way of life by continuously sitting among them. You are an EAGLE what are you doing sitting among chickens? PETER LOST HIS FAITH IN GOD FOR SITTING AMONG THEM, THEREFORE DENIED JESUS CHRIST THRICE WITHIN AN HOUR.
II. SON OF MAN, what was Peter doing there among people who have arrested the Lord Jesus Christ, whom he has walked and worked with for three years? Why are you idle in the midst of the turmoil? Why did Peter move away from the rest of the disciples to sit on the seat of the scornful? Why are you on the seat of mockers? Peter sat down among them. Then a servant girl, seeing him as he sat in the light and looking closely at Peter, said, “This man was also with Jesus Christ. But Peter, who was ready to defend Jesus Christ with the sword, now says, “Woman, I do not know Jesus Christ.” And a little later, someone else saw Peter still sitting among them and said, “You are also one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.” YOU WILL BECOME AN UNTRUTH PERSON IF YOU CONTINUE TO SIT AMONG THEM.
III. PRECIOUS FRIEND stay aware of them. Consistently, Peter, who some months ago affirmed that Jesus is Christ, the Son of the Living God, now denies any knowledge of Jesus Christ. Three persons insisted, saying, “Certainly this man also was with him, for he too is a Galilean.” But Peter said, “Man, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT.” Don’t allow a negative environment, an undesirable social media platform, or destructive-thinking colleagues and associates to influence you to go astray. For that, the cock will crow soon. Time will catch up with you within a twinkle of an eye. And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the saying of the Lord, how he had said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.” Yes, the word of God is quick, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. AND PETER WENT OUT AND WEPT BITTERLY. IF YOU MOVE WITH THE WRONG GROUP, YOU WILL WEEP VERY SOON.
IV. BELOVED, very soon we will give an account of our mandate and the unproductive time we spent sitting among them. Can you look at the face of the Lord right now from where you are? It is time to flee from them. It is time to be productive and profitable for yourself, your family, your business, and your nation.
