Mr Ernest Richard Amankwah Morgan, the Assistant Headmaster of the OLA Girls Senior High School in Kenyasi, in thee Asutifi North District of the Ahafo Region has appealed for improved physical infrastructural development in the school.
He expressed concern that the construction of an administration block for the school had been abandoned for some years, saying that the institution required dormitories to accommodate the growing student population.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Kenyasi, Mr Morgan said the deficit in the school’s infrastructure development was impeding effective teaching and learning, saying that the school needed additional classroom blocks to enable it to return to the single-track system.
He appealed to the government, wealthy individuals, philanthropists, and NGOs to come to their aid towards tackling those challenges.
In a comment, Nana Agyemang Badu Kaakyire, the Chief Linguist of the Kenyasi Number Two Traditional Council, described the school’s present condition as appalling, and called on the government to improve its infrastructure development.
He regretted that some of the classroom blocks were in deplorable condition and called on the Asutifi North District Assembly to construct additional classroom blocks for the school.
