“We are starting the distribution to all polling centres and this exercise is very important to help us get ready for tomorrow’s exercise, the security agencies would be with us throughout,” he said.

He said that the electoral commission was expecting fair, transparent and smooth exercise during the elections and all political party agents and the public should comply with the rules and regulations of the elections.

He said 50,677 eligible voters were expected to vote during this year’s presidential and parliamentary election in the area.

Some various political party executives GNA interacted with earlier expressed hope that their respective party candidates would emerge victorious after the polls.

Some first-time eligible voters in the constituency were also anxious about the exercise which they expressed readiness for ahead of the general elections on Saturday, December 7.

Voters in Keta constituency would exercise their franchise and choose among Mr Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, the incumbent NDC MP and parliamentary candidate, Mr Courage Goldberg-Grimm Hope Leketey of the NPP, Mr Yayra Kwashie of LPG and Mr Stanley Courage Dugah, an independent candidate in the 2024 election.

Meanwhile, 211 eligible special voters out of the expected 233 have voted during the special voting exercise, which was held at the forecourt of Keta Municipal Assembly on Monday, December 2.
