Asante Kotoko revived their top four hopes with a 2-0 away victory over Young Apostles in a matchday 23 encounter of the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League.
Johnson Oppong Owusu and captain Samba O’Neil struck early to keep the Porcupine Warriors within reach of the leaders and also end their three match winless run.
Leaders Medeama SC saw their advantage at the top cut to three points on Sunday after being held to a goalless draw away to FC Samartex 1996.
Medeama produced a resilient display at the Nsenkyire Arena but failed to find a breakthrough as they now have 45 points with 11 matches left.
Secondplaced Bibiani Gold Stars who have 42 points came back from a goal down to beat Heart of Lions 2-1.
Seedorf Asante gave Lions the lead before Samuel Attah Kumi levelled, and Godfred scored deep into stoppage time to secure victory.
Aduana FC were held to a 0-0 draw by Hohoe United, extending their unbeaten run but missing the chance to climb the table. Hohoe earned a valuable point in their relegation fight.
Dreams FC rescued a late point in a 1-1 draw against Nations FC, with Seidu Surah cancelling out Suweidu Sulemana’s opener at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
Basake Holy Stars boosted their survival chances with a 1-0 win over Swedru All Blacks thanks to Jacob Boazee’s decisive goal.
Hearts of Oak failed to build on their recent Super Clash victory, drawing 0-0 with Berekum Chelsea at the University of Ghana. The Phobians remain five points off the top.
Karela United secured a third straight win, beating Eleven Wonders 2-0 to move into seventh spot.
Vision FC edged Bechem United 3-2 in the weekend’s highestscoring match.
