The Lands Commission has celebrated an eventful year with an uplifting Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, showing gratitude and renewed hope.

The event brought together the staff, Management, and their families at the Commission’s headquarters auditorium for a solemn service, marking the close of an eventful year.

The annual celebration, rich in scripture, music, and fellowship, underscored the Commission’s commitment to unity and community beyond its core mandate of land service delivery.

Each reading was beautifully complemented by exceptional musical renditions from the Lands Commission Corporate Choir.

The Choir’s performances stood out as a defining highlight of the ceremony, drawing admiration across the auditorium, with remarkable vocal precision, harmony, and emotional depth, the Choir elevated every segment of the programme, seamlessly transitioning from solemn hymns to joyful anthems.

Their powerful renditions of timeless carols, including ‘O Come All Ye Faithful and Joy to the World,’ enriched the liturgy and deeply moved the audience, reinforcing the spiritual significance of the celebration.

Beyond the Choir’s sterling contributions, various divisions of the Commission and the Corporate Head Office also delivered creative performances that added colour and vibrancy to the programme.

These presentations, characterised by teamwork, originality, and festive enthusiasm, showcased the diverse talents within the Commission and deepened the sense of fellowship among staff.

Chairing the event, Dr Wordsworth Odame-Larbi, the National Chairman of the Lands Commission, commended the staff for their diligence, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to duty throughout the year.

He encouraged employees to remain focused, collaborative, and dedicated to excellence, noting that their hard work continues to play a critical role in advancing the Commission’s mandate and institutional effectiveness.

In an inspiring end-of-year address, Prof. Anthony Owusu-Ansah, the Acting Executive Secretary of the Commission, praised the staff for their resilience and dedication despite financial and operational challenges encountered during the year.

He acknowledged that 2025 tested the institution’s endurance but commended employees for standing firm, demonstrating professionalism and commitment to service.

“Through it all, our dedicated staff stood resilient,” he noted, expressing Management’s deep appreciation for sacrifices made under difficult circumstances.

He further assured the staff that the Commission remained optimistic about the year ahead, stressing that with renewed determination, prudent planning, and God’s grace, better prospects lie ahead.

Mr  David Theophilus Vondee, the Member of Parliament for Twifo Atii Morkwaa  and a member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Lands and Natural Resources, also graced the occasion and shared best wishes with staff urging them to work hard in the coming year.

Rev Nii Tackie Quaye gave a word of exhortation, which was followed by an uplifting benediction that brought the formal ceremony to a close.

The celebration ended on a high note with spirited highlife performances by the Commission’s Choir, filling the auditorium with joy and festive cheer.

The annual observance of the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols reaffirms the Commission’s shared purpose, strengthens internal bonds, and sends staff into the New Year with renewed camaraderie, hope, and joy.
