Sefwi-Wiawso (WN/R)-Ghana, Dec. 22, GNA – Mr Festus Bumagama Agyapong, a Mechanical Engineer, has filed nomination forms to contest in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primary in the Sefwi-Wiawso Constituency of the Western North Region.
Mr Agyapong, who is a first-time contestant, submitted his forms to the party’s constituency office at Sefwi Wiawso after satisfying all the filing requirements.
Addressing supporters after submitting the forms, he said his ambition to venture into active politics was to help bring development to the area, and not for his personal interest.
He expressed his readiness to support the youth in diverse ways to improve their socio-economic wellbeing.
Mr Agyapong promised to lobby for jobs for graduates, skill training and entrepreneurial development for youth within the area, and implored delegates to endorse him to become their parliamentary candidate for the constituency.
Mr Emmanuel Atta-Marfo, the Sefwi-Wiawso NPP Constituency Secretary, who received the forms, urged the aspirants to eschew politics of insults and distasteful language.
He asked them to campaign based on the achievements and policies of the President Akufo-Addo-led administration to help “break-the-eight”.
