Medikal shines in historic 02 Indigo sold-out concert

It was a celebration of Ghanaian music at Medikal’s major headline concert held at the 02 Indigo in London on Friday, May 3, 2024.

The 2,750-capacity 02 Indigo arena was filled to the rafters with some dazzling musical performances from some of Ghana’s finest musicians.

Medikal made a gigantic entry on stage, delivering some rap verses that sent the crowd ecstatic about the moments they had been relishing.

The award-winning rapper’s opening performance was certainly top-class, but it was Sister Derby’s presence on stage that sparked energy in the crowd.

The former lovers performed their solitary hit song “Too Risky” with fans ecstatic about their chemistry on stage.

Show-stopper Shatta Wale certainly stole the show on the night with some memorable performances from his flurry of hit songs.

Shatta Wale opened his stage performance with the household hit “Ayoo,” but it was the “Hosanna” song that turned up the energy at the arena.

Ghana’s most decorated rapper, Sarkodie, also made an appearance on stage, thrilling audiences with his unique flow.

Dressed in overall black attire, Sarkodie performed his 2011 hit “U Go Kill Me” in his brief stage cameo.

Legendary Highlife musician Bisa Kdei also made an appearance on stage, performing some of his timeless hit songs.

Bisa Kdei showcased his sublime live band prowess, thrilling fans with “Jwe,” “Over,” and a few others.

The likes of Jay Bhad, Efya, and Article Wan also performed at the concert, which undoubtedly lived up to the billing.
