Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has called on Members of Parliament (MPs) to be punctual and time conscious during sittings of the House.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the First Meeting of the Second Session of Parliament on Tuesday, Mr. Bagbin emphasised the importance of discipline and time management in the chamber.
He urged MPs to stick to the scheduled hours for meetings and ensure that parliamentary business is conducted efficiently.
The Speaker noted that punctuality was crucial for the smooth running of proceedings and for maintaining the integrity of the legislative process.
Mr Bagbin reminded members that effective time management would not only enhance productivity but also set a good example for the public.
Mr. Bagbin’s remarks come as Parliament resumes its work for the new session, with several key issues expected to be tabled for debate and consideration.
